2017 Queens Arts Fund:

Funding for Queens Artists and Nonprofit Organizations

Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) is pleased to announce that it will be awarding $226,000 to grant out through the Queens Arts Fund (QAF). This year QCA has been granted an increase of $48,000 in funding for Queens-based individual artists and nonprofit organizations producing cultural programming.

“We are thrilled that the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (NYC DCLA) increased QCA’s funding, for the 2017 QAF grant cycle. We appreciate NYC DCLA’s understanding of the importance of investing dollars for cultural programs in our diverse communities making the arts accessible to all. We are proud to be partnering with NYC DCLA and the New York State Council on the Arts, and all of Queens elected officials who make the QAF grant possible”, said Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer, Executive Director of QCA.

With increased funding, more artists will be able to create work to enrich our lives across the borough.

Guidelines and the online grant application for the 2017 grant cycle are available on the QCA websitehttp://www.queenscouncilarts. org/qaf/.

Artists in all arts disciplines and meeting eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply for the 2017 QAF grant. This is a competitive application process with applications reviewed through a peer panel process.

In order to help each applicant to produce the most competitive application, QCA has scheduled Application Information Sessions in locations throughout the borough.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST ATTEND an APPLICATION INFORMATION SESSION

Onsite translation of information sessions is available in Spanish, Chinese and Korean, if requested 2 weeks prior to the session you want to attend.
